Policies

Wood is a natural product and will therefore respond to the environment in which it is kept. Items may change in colour and / or shape as they react to their environment.

Wood used in these handmade products is reclaimed from various sources and as such may contain imperfections which are intended to enhance the character of each piece.

Products that are made to order or customised in any way will have an extended lead time. Please make contact in advance of purchase to get information on lead times based on your specific requirements.

Upon receipt of a product please check all parts are accounted for and check the security of all screws, fixings etc to ensure they have not loosened during transport. Inspect all screws, fixings etc on a regular basis and tighten as and when necessary.

Wall mounted products are not supplied with fixing. Please choose suitable wall plugs and screws for your specific mounting situation.

We accept no responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, injury or death resulting from the use or misuse of any products.

Wood Plug Tolerances

Wood plugs are handmade to a tolerance of +/- 1mm.

While I endeavour to ensure an even colour match across batches; wood is a natural product and so this cannot always be guaranteed. Woods like Tulip (see photo) for example have a broad range of colours, from pale yellow/white through green and even purple.

If the wood you are using is subject to such variances, please contact me before making your purchase to discuss your needs and we will check the availability of the colour you require.

All plugs are made by hand in small batches, as such there may be times when certain items are out of stock. If you require an item that is out of stock, please use the contact form and I will endeavour to restock as soon as we can.

Cleaning Wood Products

  • Do not put wood products in a dishwasher.

  • Clean with warm soapy water only, dry immediately afterwards then lay flat and allow to air dry fully before storing.

  • Do not soak.

  • Store flat.

  • It is recommended that products that come into contact with food have their food safe treatment reapplied regularly. For items that are used and washed on a regular basis, reapplication every 6 months is recommended. Products that are not regularly washed an annual reapplication may be all that is required.

  • This is a service I can off alternatively please see my shop where you will be able to purchase the appropriate treatment.

Candle Safety

Never leave candles unattended or ignited while you sleep.

While our candle holders are safe to use with traditional candles, remember, wood is a flammable product. Care must be taken when using candles.

Keep candles and ignition sources e.g. matches or lighters out or reach of children and pets.

Snuff out candles, don’t blow them out.

Never move a lit candle.

Ensure candles are stable before igniting.

Do not burn candles near anything that can catch fire.

Keep lit candles out of draughts.

Battery candles are a great alternative to a live flame and are far safer. Please consider using these instead of traditional candles.

Visit my shop where you will be able to choose from a selection of candles.
